[A man dressed in a cloak runs across the street as the jangling sound of his accessories made it clear of his coming. Taking shelter under an awning to a shop, he puts down the hood to reveal his hat underneath as he stares out into the rain.

Two whole days now. It appeared to be tapering off, but even so, it was still hectic getting around in such a weather.

On days like these his mind often wandered and it had been more so especially after that battle. He reached into his pocket and rummaged through his belongings to retrieve a ring with a blue jewel attached to it -- the Aquamarine Ring. Klarth thoughtfully stared down at it before he softly huffed a sigh and halfheartedly smiled.]

Ratatosk, huh...

[ooc: Open to all. AP events will happen in the order they come, if any. His device was accidentally turned on when he went through his belongings. Will get to tags as soon as I return o/]

Yeah. I've spoken with him a few times. Are you looking for him?

I see. No, not at this precise moment. Though I do plan on it eventually. For future reference, would you happen to know where he resides?

I'm afraid not. I've tried to find out before, but I think he likes taunting people by not saying where he is.

As suspected, I had a feeling he wouldn't want to be found, especially after the battle. I appreciate your input nonetheless.

What battle was he in? He just seemed like a big-headed brat to me.

There was a war declared over the network by a Demon King named Dhaos not long ago. We've managed to gain victory and everything has been settled.

It's just, well, he has something to do with my world, you see. It becomes a bit more complicated after that. To put it simple, there are various things in question that I wish to know the answer to.

[ Silent for a moment. ]

I see... I knew about the war, but I though he was just a supporter of it, not that he ever had a part in it... I hope you can find him soon. If I come across him again, I'll tell you.

To tell you the truth, his involvement with the war in particular is unclear with me as well. Though I briefly recall seeing him in the distance on that day.

In the distance, huh? Maybe he was just watching from the sidelines...

[He contemplated on speaking further before deciding to do so.]

He possesses a great amount of power, enough to control the flow of mana and bring order to the natural world when engulfed in chaos. In other words, he's potentially capable of anything mana related, which is practically everything in our world. Creation or destruction of land. Or at least so I've read. [He sighed.] Besides that... I don't know much of anything else.

[ Tyr paused after listening to that, not sure how he should take this new information. ]

I see... I didn't think he would really be capable of anything like that... I don't know what it would mean to your world, but he seems so powerless here. He hides himself away.

[He recalls seeing two of them in the past. A boy with green eyes and one with red. It was during the event where he accidentally walked in on his dream but there had to be a reason why there were two and not one.]

Could you tell me in more detail of what you know?

[ While Tyr hasn't even seen Ratatosk's face before. He knows him by voice alone. ]

I don't know much; I just talk to him occasionally when he feels like taunting people. I've called him out before, but he never came forward...

I can't be much help to you, sorry...

[Sounds like the guy he saw but that other boy...]

What exactly are you trying to find out from him, though?

[He fell silent before letting out a light chuckle.]

Quite curious, aren't you?

[This boy sure was asking a lot of questions. Though with the rain still pouring and needing for a little rest, he figured he could spare the time to tell a story.]

Very well. [He cleared his throat.] To begin, let me start by explaining what I know. According to ancient scriptures, Ratatosk is known to be a summon spirit, a magic-based life form, which governs over a specific power, depending on their element. To put it simple, a fire summon spirit essentially controls fire, while a water spirit controls water, and so on. One can form a pact with these spirits through a series of preparations, one involving the possession of specific rings and furthermore, in order to prove that you are worthy of possessing such power, they will often times challenge you to a battle.

Because of such high risks, the art of summoning spirits had been lost for many years with the research abandoned. Though however, [He deviously began to snicker as his voice gradually became more and more enthused.] in Aselia calendar year 4202, I, a young genius scholar, Klarth F. Lester, has successfully and completely established it as one of the sciences. Proving its existence by forming pacts with not only one but twelve of the summon spirits!

[He laughed for a good moment before weakly letting out a sigh.] You're most likely wondering why I haven't formed one with him. It's because there was no solid evidence of his existence besides those scriptures, most illegible due to its age. There was no way of locating him. No one had even heard of a summon spirit before until now, let alone one that had been lost in history. And so, I'm interested in finding out that history. About the summon spirit that supposedly had great influences in the creation of our world.

[ He listened to this all silently ~~and coloured a little at being called on his curiosity~~. He fell silent for a few moments as he processed the new information, but Klarth's intentions ~~and ego~~ became obvious to him. ]

I see... I don't know how agreeable the twelve other summon spirits were for you, but talking to Ratatosk is like talking to a tree. I'm not sure if he'd agree to share that history or any knowledge with you.

I don't mean to discourage you, but the fact he was forgotten was because he's such a disagreeable recluse...

Yeah... [He softly agreed.] One of the reasons why I've held off this far. Though there's nothing to lose by asking. In either case, I plan on sitting on this for a little while longer before deciding what to do.

That's probably the best plan... I hope you have some luck with him when you decide how to deal with him.
