[Poly Entry 19:] Mistletoe Madness

[The feed begins as the camera is facing the tiny green plant that had mysteriously grown over his front door. A hand reaching up to touch it, Klarth continued to observe it as he spoke his mind.]

Odd how a plant had grown overnight in such a location. I can only assume it is one of the many curses the deities had planned for us. Which leads to my question.

Is there any significant meaning to this plant?

Well, I figured that much. From what I gathered, it forces two individuals to kiss or something or other?

[OoC: oh my god, where are you? o_O You don't have to actually say, but now I'm curious. And yeah, we're being careful, we've got a bunch of ice melt stuff. And Demyx is just out in general ~~stalking~~ looking at people today. So there's nowhere specific, really.]

[ooc; Oh it's no biggie~ I'm in California~ XDD and good good I'm glad to hear that! Ah, I see. Then how about he runs into him during his run away from Rita? Rounding a corner of a building and wham~? XDD;;;]

As he's responding to Klarth, he happens to be multi-tasking, something he would do well to avoid as it nearly always ends up poorly. In this case, it is going on the network, and walking. But as he's turning a corner, he forgets to look, and-

"Oomf." And he's on the ground.

[OoC: Haha, we have a family friend in CA, and two weeks ago he sent us a video of it snowing there, and he was like 'OMG, SNOW.' It was hilarious.]

Ahhhh, goodness! What just happened back there!? Did he really do it? Of all people he could have done it to! Klarth continued to make a run for it with his groceries in his hand. Just around that corner and he'd be safe home, he thought to himself. Hiding his face in shame, he made the turn when suddenly he felt himself run into something sturdy.

"OOf!" Getting thrown back himself and dropping the bag in the process, he sat up and held his head. "W-What the--" Noticing that he had run into someone and had knocked them back in the process, he quickly got to his feet to help the person up. "A-Ah! I'm terribly sorry! I was in a bit of a rush and--" He tried to explain himself while offering his hand.

[ooc; Ohhh ic ic~ they must be from up North then~ we don't get any down here~ but yeah, it was surprising to see just how much did snow up there!]

Demyx shakes it off pretty easily. He sees the hand, and he's sort of confused as to why he's presenting it now, but he gets up on his own, and then grabs his hand, shaking it.

"Yeah, I wasn't really watching where I was going, either." He doesn't really seem bothered by the whole thing. But he is squinting a little, peering at his face.

[OoC: Yeah, I figured that you meant more Southern. Haha, the weather's been pretty crazy this winter.]

Well, from the look of things, he was pleased to see that he hadn't injured the other man. Klarth firmly shook his hand back with a smile when he raised a brow. That voice... Now where had he... ah, well.

"I'm pleased to see you weren't injured."

As the man squinted towards him, he stood there kind of uncomfortable.

"Is there... something wrong with my face?"

[ooc; Yup yup~ and seriously;;; It's been a while since I've seen it this crazy.]

"Yeah, it sort of happens a lot." He stops shaking his hand, and when he asks the question, his eyebrows raise and his eyes widen a bit. "Oh, uh, no at least, I don't think so, but, uh, you just kinda sound familiar." As he's still staring at him, the mistletoe creeping above doesn't get noticed.

[OoC: I'm used to some crazy weather, but it's just been pretty stable-y snow-filled since late November.]

"Ah, coincidentally, I feel the same. My name is Klarth. Have we met be...fore?" Oh goodness it was that feeling again. His eyes quickly looked about and by the time he noticed it had been too late. He began to draw closer to the other as he falls into a trance. Eye fixated onto the other man, he gave a longing look and lightly parted his lips.

[ooc; Oh wow;;; None of it melted?]

"Oh, yeah! I'm Demyx. We were just speaking over the network! Hah, that's kinda weird, huh?" He hadn't noticed the feeling, nor had he noticed that he had been moving closer to him in the short amount of time they'd been talking.

[OoC: That's the thing that's been so weird. It melts, but then the next week there'll be another snow storm. Like this week; it rained and a bunch of snow melted, but there's supposed to be a storm tomorrow.]

"That's right, Demyx... I recall..." Ah, why did those lips look so.. alluring? Not paying attention to anything else the man spoke, his body began to respond to the curse. With a suave hand, he tilted his hat back and reached for Demyx's chin as he attempted to steal a kiss.

[ooc; Holycow;;; Where are you located, if you don't mind me asking;;?]

Consider the kiss stolen. Demyx doesn't usually get affected by this curse like everyone else, but once he's being kissed, he'll kiss back. And he is doing so now.

[OoC: Long Island. It's never been this bad before. I'm used to this, and worse, 'cause I went to school in Binghamton, but it's just kinda wtf-ish.]

Oh, goodness, he was kissing back. Normally he would object to, well, kissing a male and not some hot babe, but the curse spoke for itself as he returned it until it got to a certain point. Eyes widely opening, he pushed off with his free hand and placed the back of his hand onto his lips, wiping it as if it was going to do anything.

Oh, no... it really did happen again, didn't it? Tyr's warning struck and struck hard. Now, he couldn't tease him for that.

Klarth tried to gather himself and with a stutter began to ~~ramble~~ explain. "A-Ahhhh, m-my sincerest apologies for that. Ah ha ha ha, the curse! It was all the curse's doing and, well, I'm rather fond of wom--"

[ooc; Ohhh ic ic. Yeah, I know of the storms that's been hitting there and ah, koo~ I went to school in Buffalo~ so I know the conditions too~ XDDD;;; And sorry for the delay again! Been kind of feeling under the weather again. Januarys are just always brutal to me =; ;=]

This- this was new. Oh, he'd seen blushing, and stutter before. But not quite like this. Wiping his mouth he hadn't ever seen at all, on anyone else in the City. It didn't mean that no one else did, but he was the only one that he'd seen do it.

There was definitely something different about this guy. Demyx widened his eyes, tilted his head to the side, and sort of gave a small grin as he waited for him to continue on, hanging on his every word and movement.

[OoC: Haha, oh man, yeah, Buffalo's bad too. Don't worry about backtagging with me, seriously. And oh man, really? I'm sorry to hear that. Plenty of hot liquids, I hope?]

He was grinning... Why was he grinning, Klarth hadn't the slightest clue (well.. he could come up with a few) but regardless, he wanted to make sure he got his point clear and regained his composure.

"Either way, it was simply an accident. I just wanted to be certain you understood that and nothing of my intentions."

[ooc; Yep, lots of tea and sleep! Thank you very much for both!]

Demyx hadn't exactly had experience with anyone who was so uneasy about kissing men. People that were uneasy about kissing in general, yes, but as he hasn't had exposure to such a person, the fact that Klarth is, goes rather unnoticed. He knows that something's different, but not quite what. Once he thinks that he has the information he wants, and Klarth seems to have calmed down enough, he goes back to his more standard state of being.

"Well, yeah- it's the curse."

[OoC: Ahh, good to hear! And no problem.]

Good no assumptions made. The man's calmness to the situation was throwing him off. Of course, it was nothing to be ashamed of! People have their preferences after all. HOWEVER, not only did he kiss a girl far under his age, making him feel like a cradle robber, he also managed to experience kissing a man on top of that. Deep down inside, he already felt like he was cheating (even though it's not really cheating because nothing is official...BUT)... but...

Ah, well. It was all starting to feel ridiculous now. He brushed it all off with a half-hearted laugh. "Of course, ha ha ha. Of course. Quite a way to meet for the first time I must say."

Now he just out-and-out grins. Sort of a friendly one, done more out of habit, now, than any sort of thing to be happy about.

"Yeah, I guess. At least we talked on the Network before, though. I've met a couple of people just because of this curse."
