[The feed turns on as the man gives a slight nod with a tip of his hat to greet his viewers.]

Welcome visitors. My name is Klarth F. Lester and I have a few questions I would like to ask if I may be given a little bit of your time. Thank you.

The time has come to investigate. Are you ready?

The fountain or the carousel seems to be common areas. Perhaps we should investigate one of those first. Which is closer to you?

Ah, that's a good point...! I think the fountain's closer to me, so we should meet up there, if that's okay with you.

[How soon the time had come for them to perform their little investigation. To Klarth, it seemed rather too coincidental for the deities to open the gates for visitors, but he wasn't about to let the opportunity pass nonetheless.

Grabbing his trusty book with a bag of gumis in his pouch, the summoner set off to meet Shing by the Fountain as he promised.]

[ooc; It works for me~ =^W^= / Let me know if this is ok!]

[And just as he'd promised, Shing arrives at the fountain not a moment too son, panting a bit as he waved over to Klarth. He himself was carrying a small satchel of medicinal supplies and the like, asa well as his sword and buckler combo, Asteria.]

Hey, Klarth--! Ready to investigate?

[OOC: This is PERFECT. Thanks! :3]

[Spotting the boy with ease, he smiled and waited for him to approach with a hand resting on his waistband and his book in hand.]

Yo. You've made it.

[With a small wink and raising his book to show just how ready he was, Klarth answered enthused.]

Of course. This is what we've been preparing for after all.

[And with that his eyes immediately began to scan the crowded area for any suspicious activity.]

But first, we should observe the activities around here. There may be a clue of some sort.

[Shing nods, looking at Klarth with an intensity that showed just how prepared he was to try anything to find their way home.]

That's a good idea... I didn't think about that. Anything I should keep an eye out for?

[He kept his voice low as he continued to observe.]

Every time I've spoken to one leaving this world thus far had mentioned something about a door. Whether it be a part of an actual building or one that suddenly appears is another story.

Besides that, however, I'm truly uncertain of what else to look for. But in either case, you check the west area while I take the east. We'll do a full circle around and meet back in the middle. If either of us find anything, we'll report it to each other using these.

[He lifted his device to indicate what he was talking about.]

Any objections?

[Shing nods, observing.]

A door? That's... impressive. Though I'd be amazed -- and surprised -- if it was that easy as leaving through a simple door...

That sounds like a good idea, though. No objections here.

[*snuggles and clings to*]

All right.

[He smiled and gave a nod to signal their go. Heading off, he rounded the Square, weaving between the crowd and occasionally stopping to observe something out of the ordinary. But, nothing significant stood out, at least enough to send a message. He noticed a few heading off towards the nearby Carousel, which was another area of suspicion.

Klarth took careful note of what they looked like before continuing to make his way around. He kept his device handy, just in case Shing were to message him of anything at any given time.]

[Shing began to make his round around the Square, passing through much of the crowded marketplaces and plazas on his investigation. He didn't seem to find much of anything out of the ordinary there, though...

Moving onwards to Xanadu, where he and Yuri sparred often, he looked and peered through the vast web of trees for any clue, but he didn't seem to find much of anything to note either. Pausing, he glanced at his device for a bit, wanting to check if there was anything from Klarth about any discovery.]

[Finishing his half, Klarth headed back to the middle where they were to meet. There were far too many people to monitor and who knew when exactly anyone were to actually leave. Perhaps they should choose one person to follow? Or as he had observed, follow the crowd and see where they would head next? As low handed as it seemed, listening in on conversations of which individual had just arrived verses those who have been here for a while was another way they could go off on. Those girls he observed... he'll mention it when they rendezvous.

He looked out for Shing while pondering more.]

[It would only be several moments later that Shing returned, slightly out of breath. There's also some twigs and leaves in his hair, though he either doesn't notice them or pays them no heed.]

Hey... did you find out anything?

[He saw him in the distance and gave him an odd look with a smile. Was he running through the forested area?]

There were a few things I've noticed but nothing of dire importance. Besides that just where did you go off to? [He lightly laughed as he pulled a single twig out of his hair.]

[Shing laughed a bit as he shook some more foliage from his clothes.]

I was actually checking out the Xanadu area! Just to make sure we didn't miss anything.

Not that I found anything, but still. Better to be sure, right?

[He gave a slight shocked look.]

You went all the way to Xanadu?! Haa... proves just how young you truly are.

[He weakly smiled and chuckled before returning his seriousness.]

If there isn't anywhere else you'd like to check. There's one other place that's been on my mind.

[He stared off towards the East with a hand to his waist.]

The City outskirts particularly the crossgates. It would be an ideal location to place a 'door' without attracting too much suspicion, don't you think?

[ooc; yeah until Caru made the map I totally thought the carousel wasn't as close to the fountain as it's depicted soo we're going to have to change the idea of investigating around the carousel since Klarth would have at least checked that area from how close it is. =TTWTT=;;; The crossgates is what I had in mind but if you could think of another location where they could possibly get attacked then I'm more than for your idea! Feel free to add to it~<333]

[Shing blinks a few times before he nods in reply, glancing at Klarth seriously.]

Lead the way. It makes the most sense, yeah...

( OOC: lol, I see... and yeah, that works for me! :O They can has big battle there? Though I do kinda want a sort of dungeon-type area for them to traverse before reaching hte crossgates, too... )

[He took another final glance around before softly prompting the boy to follow.]

All right, this way.

[As he headed down the alley and between the buildings, he started to sense an uneasy feeling. The further they headed down, the greater that feeling grew. As if eyes were staring at them. Klarth's own wandered from side to side, in attempt to find the source as he lightly ran through.]

Something is here... Be careful.

[ooc; Yup yup! And oh yeah! We could do that too! If that's the case then, I was thinking maybe bandits/thieves who are taking the opportunity to loot from the visitors? I'll leave that part up to you~ =^W^= <333 Feel free to be creative with it and I'll follow through~!]

[Shing nodded in caution, following Klarth down the alleyway and looking around for just what the other was looking for, but...

This was making him worry. Not to mention it made him wonder just what they were doing in the alleyway. Looking around, he paused, looking at Klarth oddly.]

Hey... you sure this is the right way?

[ OOC: YES. And maybe a monster or two from Poly's more recent events thats hiding out here? Either or. :O ]

Upon my arrival here, I received a map of the City. According to it, the gate shouldn't be much farther. Unless the recent events have changed its location as well.

[He could sense that Shing was picking up on the bad vibes as well. With that he encouraged them to move along quicker.]

Either way, let's hur--!!

[When he was about to finish the sentence, he quickly lifted his book to swat at a coming small blade. The figure leapt into the air and aimed right at them as well as two gruesome figures slowly charging at them by ground. Klarth prepared to back away and brace though, he wasn't much of the type to go blade to blade with an enemy. He would need Shing's support in order to pull off a spell.]
