[Poly Entry 41:] Family Trouble?

[The feed begins with a fumble of the device and the sound of a slight pant of someone trying to calm down. Taking a deep breath, the man manages to come out with his words though one could tell that he wasn't the slightest pleased.]

Ah... mm, [He cleared his throat.] Tyr~, ha ha ha... I need to speak with you IMMEDIATELY.

[AP to Rita:]
[If only his hearing had gone bad sooner. With a glorious stream of his drink forming the perfect arch as he spits it out of his mouth, Klarth slammed the cup onto the table and gave his daughter the most dumbfounded look.]

HA!? W-W-What did you just say? [His lip nervously twitched as the thoughts of how to maim the culprit crossed his mind. He couldn't believe it. After all that he's ~~warned~~ told him of how precious his daughter was to him. The summoner quickly grabbed his device to voice message him.]

[ooc; Cursed with Family day where Klarth is Rita's father aaaaaaand he just found out his precious daughter is dating Tyr, his good friend~ LOL XDDD <333]

[ Tyr, for one, has no idea what any of this is about, though a feeling of worry starts to seep in. His voice is low, concerned, and he tries to keep any assumptions at bay. ]

Oh? [He nervously laughs.] What do you think this is about?

Al- all right... [ Tyr isn't usually intimidated, but now he definitely has the feeling he's done something against Klarth (especially with the emphasis on them being friends). He glances at his staff, but leaves it. He has a pretty good idea what this is about, and if Klarth wants to take a swing at him, he'd probably deserve it.

From Tyr's end of the device, there's just the sound of foot steps and doors opening and closing as he leaves his home. ]

[Just as he's about to say more his voice becomes distant and he hears Rita's voice as it turns off.]

[ ...Yep, it has to be about Rita. He tries desperately to reconnect it. ]

Hey, Klarth, Rita- Cut it out! Let's talk about this!

[ And he'll be going faster towards their place. ]

Ugh! Gross!

[Oh, man, she had tried to be clear about it so he wouldn't react so strongly, but...Rita made a face when Klarth spat out his drink, and turned to face her father, arms crossed.]

I said that we're dating, okay? You don't have to make a big deal out of it!

[He left his message as he glanced towards her and swung his arm in gesture.]

No-Not make a big deal!? This is a MASSIVE deal! The biggest deal! Aaaah, where have I gone wrong? My sweet innocent child has never kept anything from me. [He faked a sob when he suddenly spoke into the device again towards Tyr with his brow twitching furiously.]

B-because you're blowing it all out of proportion!

[A-and it wasn't just that she was a bit embarrassed by the way he described her...]

Hey, what are you doing? Stop freaking out!

[She came forward and reached for the device before he could scare Tyr off any more.]

I'm getting to the bottom of--uwah, hey! [He scrambled for his device as she took it away and huffed.]

I'm doing this for your own good! The world isn't as nice of a place as you may wish to believe! It can be very very cruel if you aren't careful!

[Only a player could sniff out another. He made several attempts and tried to reach for it to get it back.]

Now, let daddy make certain of things!

Huh? [And as she tried her best to hold the device out of his reach, she could only gape in disbelief. Was he calling her naive?!]

[He tried to hint it verses saying it flat out. He's got to make certain he hasn't done ANYTHING to disrespect her. He gave a long exasperated sigh.]

Whether he's treating you well. To make certain... he doesn't have any ulterior motives. That's all! [He averted his eyes away from her to hide his own. Tyr seemed like a nice, decent guy every time he sees him, but ohhh it's all different now. A full background check was in order.]

[She stood there, staring at him with narrowed eyes. She knew he meant well and all, but to have him say things like that made her scowl.]

You know him, don't you? Just what kind of ulterior motives do you think Tyr has?

[He deeply sighed as he shook his head.]

He's a man. Of course he has ulterior motives. It's in our blood. No matter how good of a man. Goodness... In either case, I forbid you to see him until I've ~~threatened~~ spoken to him of this. Understood?

[He might have been her father, but she couldn't stand being ordered around--and there was no way she wasn't seeing Tyr!]

[And with that, she threw his device back at him.]

[He flattened his lip as he crossed his arms.]

Rita.. [He spoke her name in a stern manner.] You're still too--WHAT!? [His face instantaneously changed hearing that as he roughly caught his device.]

A-A pervert!? Exactly how am I a pervert!? I've rarely time to look at women let alone your mother!

[She stood there defiantly, arms crossed.]

You just admitted it yourself, didn't you? That "all men have ulterior motives" thing.

W-Well.. [Goodness.. why did her reasoning have to be good as his;; Though that's what he took pride in. Ah, she was his daughter all right. Smart and talented. The number of men he had to scare away. Sighs. He was too careless, thinking that Tyr would never do such a thing. Well... he is a good kid... STILL!! The innocent child was most likely woo'ed by his smoothe words.. That had to be it...]

I'm your father... so I do not count! [He stubbornly persisted.]

Then explain to me what the two of you have been doing that you couldn't tell me sooner, hm? Let's hear it, shall we?

[Ha, she threw him off! If she weren't exasperated, she might have grinned smugly, but instead she just threw up her hands and sighed.]

It's between us--I mean, th-there's nothing to tell! [Now she was blushing a bit. Like she was going to tell him everything about their relationship!]

[GASP! It was something she couldn't even tell HIM!? Now have a sad face Rita. And she was blushing!! GAHH!! He went over to her and placed his hands on her arms with a worrisome look.]

Wha-what did he do?! He didn't force you, did he? There's nothing to worry about! You could tell me anything!

[She had to gape for a second. Forced...her...]

Wh-what are you talking about?! [Face read, she slapped at his hands out of embarrassment.] You think I'd let anyone do that?!

I'm just making certain. [He rubbed his poor hands] Why do you think I've taught you how to swing a book? And you haven't answered me.

Hmph! [She might have felt a little guilty, but she couldn't believe they were having this conversation!]

Answered what? We haven't done anything--weird, you know!

[ Even if Tyr didn't know exactly where they lived, he's sure he could have followed the sounds of their voices the minute he entered the building. As uncertain as he was about this before, he had braced himself in the tie it took to run over. He had to sort this out - especially if he was the reason they were fighting.

--And what exactly did Klarth think he would do to her!?

He started banging on the door with his fists the minute he arrived at it, yelling breathlessly- ]

Hey! Stop fighting in there and let me in! I know this is about me!
