[As the device turns on, there is mumbling heard from the other end as well as a sound of someone rustling through his things.] Ah, it's already been close to 2 months now. I know we were able to spend some time together but to be sent here soon after... Will you still wait for me this time, despite having waited days on end for my return in the past? I mean, I have no worries of you taking care of the school and I'm certain you'll manage just fine as you always have. But as demanding, boisterous, and stubborn as you can be sometimes, I do miss it. A lot. Even that face I used to make fun of all the time as a kid, I'm dying to see it more than anything right now.

[Deep sigh.] I would have loved one of your pies a few days ago too. Frankly, it was a lonely night. Very lonely indeed, with all the young ones in love out enjoying themselves. To think there was a day designated to celebrate couples... well... we're not really a couple... She's a very important research assistant and a childhood friend of mine is all but...

I was directing it towards her behavior. If she is still fairly tame or has she gone out to cause destruction? Mint is the type to go help people even during her free times. If my assumptions are correct in that her curse involves a reversal of her true nature, she may even be causing mayhem as we speak.
