Yesterday was yet another odd curse. The sudden urge to want to soar the sky was quite distracting.

Ah.. it reminded me of the days when we still had the wing pack. The use of the Rarebirds were rather nice. The feeling of becoming one with the wind. Hmmm~ it was magnificent.

[He lightly chuckled, remembering the face Arche made when they were all able to fly like she did.]

You mean you could actually fly? I assume 'the wing pack' is some sort of mechanism that allowed you to fly.

Ah, Spencer. How are you feeling? And that's right. It's through the use of a winged device unlike the elves' natural ability to fly by channeling mana through their body.

Can you actually harness and channel the energy or are you speaking more philosophically?

The former. In a way, they communicate with nature through their blood to conjure magic. With the wind element in order to fly, fire element in order to start a fire, etc.

There are various forms of spirituality and meditation that operate, much less successfully, on that sort of theory. I'll have to do some research on it in the library.

Pantheism, most Wicca religions, to an extent Buddhism. None of them are terribly common where I'm from and I"m certain there are more that I'm leaving out, certainly I'm not as specific as I should be

I didn't have any weird urges to become "one with the wind", so I wasn't cursed, anyway.

No, not really...Nothing beyond the experimentation stage, anyway.

So those wing packs and Rarebirds you were mentioned--they were devices for flying?

Oh? What sort of experiment?

That's right. An inventor in Alvanista presented it to us for easier travel in exchange for finding the means to make it work.

Well, there were a few experiments for creating blastia that could hover, but I don't think they were strong enough to do much at the time. I wasn't really involved in that research, though.

And just what were these means?

It was to make a pact with Volt. Its energy source was what was needed in order to operate the device.

Were you cursed as well? I did my best to keep the urge at bay. However, I must admit, I spent most of yesterday thinking of ways in order to do so.

Hm? Ah, particularly the look on Arche's face when we were all capable of taking flight into the sky. [He lightly laughed.]

The feel of the wind was rather nice though... You truly felt free up there.

Yeah... I guess flying is kind of treat to both of us in that way... I almost wish now we could have actually flown yesterday.
