[Poly Entry 32:] Reminiscing

[voice;]

Yesterday was yet another odd curse. The sudden urge to want to soar the sky was quite distracting.

[Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiighs.]

Ah.. it reminded me of the days when we still had the wing pack. The use of the Rarebirds were rather nice. The feeling of becoming one with the wind. Hmmm~ it was magnificent.

[He lightly chuckled, remembering the face Arche made when they were all able to fly like she did.]

No, not really...Nothing beyond the experimentation stage, anyway.

So those wing packs and Rarebirds you were mentioned--they were devices for flying?

Well, there were a few experiments for creating blastia that could hover, but I don't think they were strong enough to do much at the time. I wasn't really involved in that research, though.

And just what were these means?
blastiafreak: ([manga] Witcher who?)

Magic. I mean, I have some knowledge about other blastia fields, but magic has always been my specialty.

Volt--is that the spirit of lightning? So you ran these things with the spirit's powers?

Yes, and applications, too.

Ah, I've seen those around here. I guess they're useful...Of course, there's never been a shortage of aer or mana, so it's not like storing energy has ever really been an issue for us.
blastiafreak: (figuring it out)

[personal profile] blastiafreak 2011-09-02 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
That's right. Any energy source needs a way to be harnessed, but our way just happened to be more convenient than anything else.

...Yeah. This whole "convenience" put our world in a pretty bad state. So I guess when it gets to the point that you're relying on it, then it's gone too far.
