[The feed turns on to show a static screen with the only thing that can be heard is a man's voice cutting in and out.]

Is... -ng on? ... -ness.. .......sn't my... I'm... -ain Rita wou-- ..... hm?

[Suddenly the screen turns on to show the summoner standing on the deck with his arms held out far forward and above him. An occasional static jerk visible with cut outs here and there, but better than nothing. The little bit of the ocean seen in the back seems peaceful at the moment. A satisfied smile on his face.]

Ohh, finally. Tyr, Rita, Spencer [Static] Anyone ge--ing this~?

[ Even though Klarth said 'creatures' and not 'monsters', Tyr still wondered. ]

[ He smiles, though, as he continues. ] It sounds like you're on a vacation.

[He just weakly smiled to that response. Was she not on his good side? Though he could see why that may be the case in a sense.]

[It's nice to hear from him--and kind of nice to have him asking about her, but she's a little annoyed she can't make it out.]

[Static-y as it is, she supposes Klarth's face isn't bad to see, either. What he's saying is a different story, though she does manage to piece the fragments together.]

His question makes her expression falter a bit, but she tries to reply normally.] Well...It's okay right now, but there's been some curses. What about you? Anything happening?

[The same reaction as Tyr, he had to worry a bit more now. The concerned look on his face.]

...I see. We've hit a -torm amongst a few oth-- things. However, we're all -afe. No worries. Nothing of gre-t significance to re--rt yet.

[She notices, but doesn't elaborate. What's done is done, and they probably have enough to worry about as it is.]

A storm? So you haven't really found anything else out there?

[Besides the odd moving rocks that tried to swallow them;; and the mist, nope. He shook his head.]

No-hing, attainable anyho-. There are s-me harmless sea creatur-- out here, how--er.

[That's an adventure all right...]

Well, as long as they're harmless, they don't matter. But you should try and fix the reception, just in case you do find something.

Aa, I'll spe-k with Guy later t-day. I'm simply --eased that -ts even working.

[Luke is browsing the network as best he can, and he sees Klarth making a post. He remarks as he walks by:] Man, the network out here is awful.

[The redhead comes to a stop against the railing and stares out at the ocean.]

So far we haven't really found anything that will help people get home...

[The summoner glanced over his shoulder and gave a small smile.] Aa, it truly is. Though I suppose we should be grateful that it even works at all.

[He briefly looked back at his screen while holding it up when Luke made his comment. His own expression becoming a bit somber to the thought, Klarth slowly lowered his arms as he softly agreed.]

Aa... [So, he was getting antsy, was he? He could definitely empathize there. Klarth walked over to where Luke was and leaned against the rail to stare out as well.]

The journey's just begun. There's no need to rush. Lose our cool now and we won't be prepared to seize it when the opportunity arises. [He tried to console.]

Don't lose faith and believe in your crew.

Yeah. It's nice to know how things are going in the City.

[Luke rests his arms on the banister. He isn't expecting Klarth to keep him company like that, or offer him the consolation usually meant for leaders. He straightens and blinks at the summoner, and then a little blush creeps across his cheeks. He ducks his head and smiles in embarrassment.]

You're right. Sorry for being so impatient. I still have a long ways to go after all.

[Ah, it's nice being young, he thought to himself with a smile as he watched Luke blush. Full of energy and determination. Good qualities to have, especially for one who wishes to be a leader.]

Nah, you're doing fine. I'm not one to speak either. [He softly admitted. Perhaps he was telling himself not to rush more than anything.]

Keep up the good work. Your light is what will pull us through.

[He gave the boy a pat on the shoulder.]

[Luke doesn't think he has what it takes to be a leader. There's no way he can stand alone. They've only come this far because he knows his weaknesses and can depend on others. He's worried that he won't live to see the end of the trip, and he's worried that he'll screw up and someone will get hurt, and he's worried about this and that...

But...

How can he keep those doubts in his heart with so many people depending on him, too? He watches Klarth, confused and a little intimidated by the implications of those words.]

[Of course, it was meant to be figurative but seeing that confused look on the boy's face, he weakly smiled back.]

That spirit of yours will keep everyone together is what I meant.

[His cheeks pinken somewhat. Maybe he has to earn the meaning along with the name.]

[Even as he says it, there's a little sunbeam in his smile.]
